I've had tendinitis in his elbow a few days ago, I lifted for two months, and now I make my arms when I wake up in use until it is healed. I bought an elbow pad that will help a little, I do not know how long until I can test for yourself whether it's okay.

Any type of tendinitis is an excessive wounds, so the rest is all what to be improved. It usually takes 4-6 weeks to heal completely. You can try ice with an anti-inflammitory to accelerate the healing process. When you return to weight lifting too soon, that will only continue to grow and return to the starting point.
