You must ensure that your vehicle at all its regular maintenance, preferably in the service department by the merchants. Service technician at the dealership, the best you know how to maintain your car. This is particularly true for hybrids, which are service technicians trained to the dealers to use new technologies in the car.

I do not recommend buying a hybrid, and instead of buying a car VW TDI is based. You good mileage (EPA does not agree, but actual results reveal) to a similar fuel consumption, you do not have the experience battery problems later, they are easier to work (anyone can), and generally reliable.

if the factor to produce energy and use of the vehicle, hybrids are really one of the worst cars for the environment because the batteries and the volume of production is relatively low. IIRC the Hummer H2 is actually better for the environment than the Accord Hybrid. LOL.

Hybrids should only be repaired at the dealership.

The battery is about the last 5 years and forecast replacement needs about 5 km, and can cost more than the vendors are already in production at full capacity.

Impact to buy diesel, the cost per mile will be smaller, less expensive repairs and the environment than a hybrid. VW TDI are great because they are efficient, durable, quiet, diesel can also be converted to biodiesel.
